Elara is only 8.5mm high, so it can sit quietly beneath the cabinet while still giving square cabinet lights a crisp, contemporary appearance when they are visible.
24V · Square · Surface Mounted · 5-Year Guarantee
Slim profile. Clean square form. Striking when seen.
Choose the finish, white light, area to illuminate and control. The Project Builder suggests a practical starting quantity, then matches the correct 24V driver, required distribution and compatible controls for each lighting zone.
Save a Project Pack to share the selected lights, system parts and zones with your fitter or electrician.
Elara is a slim surface mounted square LED under cabinet light with a clean 100 × 100 × 8.5mm profile. At just 8.5mm high it is easy to keep discreet beneath kitchen wall cupboards, while its crisp geometric form still looks premium when the fitting is visible.
Aluminium: CCT, Warm, Natural or Cool White. Black: CCT, Warm, Natural or Cool White.
Elara is a 24V square LED under cabinet light designed for clean modern kitchens and fitted furniture. Its 8.5mm surface mounted profile is easy to keep discreet beneath wall cupboards, while the 100 × 100mm geometric face still looks deliberate when seen. It works particularly well for under cupboard lighting and kitchen worktop lighting when you want a sharper alternative to round fittings.
Elara is only 8.5mm high, so it can sit quietly beneath the cabinet while still giving square cabinet lights a crisp, contemporary appearance when they are visible.
Measure the worktop or cabinet run you actually want to illuminate. The Project Builder uses that length to suggest a practical starting quantity, which you can adjust for the real kitchen layout.
Choose Aluminium or Black, then select CCT, Warm, Natural or Cool White. Both finishes support all four white light options, and the Builder guides you through the compatible controls.
Why choose Elara? It combines a slim, easy-to-hide profile with a clean square design that still looks considered when it is seen. The Builder then matches one suitable 24V driver per zone, required distribution and compatible controls.
Elara keeps the fitting visually light beneath the cabinet. The 8.5mm profile is easy to keep discreet, while the square face creates a clean geometric detail when the light is visible from across the room.
Elara is available in Aluminium or Black, and both finishes give you the full choice of Colour Changing White (CCT), Warm White, Natural White and Cool White.
A clean, versatile finish that works easily with light cabinetry, stainless details and neutral kitchen schemes.
A stronger contemporary finish for dark cabinetry, black hardware and kitchens where the square fitting can become part of the detail.
Both Aluminium and Black Elara square LED cabinet lights are available in Warm, Natural and Cool fixed white, plus Colour Changing White (CCT). CCT versions use 3W and produce 250–260lm; fixed-white versions use 3.5W and produce up to 300lm.
Elara CCT gives you three selectable white light settings in one fitting. Choose 3000K, 4000K or 6000K using the selector beneath the magnetic bezel. Because the bezel can be removed after installation, you can change the CCT setting later without uninstalling the light.
Choose between three white light tones from the same fitting. The selector stays accessible beneath the removable magnetic bezel even after installation.
Best for: flexibility when you do not want to commit to one white light tone in advance.A softer white for timber, warmer stone and more relaxed interior schemes.
Best for: a warmer atmosphere when you already know the look you want.A balanced white light choice for everyday kitchen task lighting and neutral finishes.
Best for: clean, balanced everyday task lighting.A crisper white for contemporary kitchens, cooler finishes and sharper visual contrast.
Best for: crisp contemporary interiors and cooler schemes.Elara forms part of a low voltage under cabinet lighting system running at 24V DC. Each lighting zone uses one matched driver. Choose the lights and zones you want; the Project Builder matches the compatible driver, required distribution and controls for each zone.
You do not need to calculate driver wattage, count connection ports or work out which accessories are required. Build each lighting zone and we match the compatible power system behind it.
The exact driver and accessories are matched to your project automatically.
The driver is sized from the combined wattage of the lights in that zone. The Builder totals the combined load using the wattage of the Elara option you selected: 3W for CCT or 3.5W for fixed white. It then selects a driver with suitable capacity for that zone.
Compatible 6 way distribution blocks expand the available light connections. One driver port feeds the block, which then provides six light connections. The Project Builder automatically adds the required quantity where needed.
No. Multiple Elara lights can operate from one compatible driver when they belong to the same lighting zone. Each zone uses one matched driver; capacity and available connections determine how the lights are grouped.
A lighting zone is a group of lights that operate together. Create another zone whenever a different area needs its own driver, sensor or switching behaviour.
Six Elara lights operate together from one matched driver and one touch dimmer.
Three lights operate independently and switch automatically using a PIR occupancy sensor.
A separate cabinet lighting group operates from its own driver and compatible door sensor.
Choose the supplied mains cable for fixed wiring, or add the optional 2m UK plug cable where a suitable socket is available. Mains electrical work should be completed by a suitably competent person.
Any work involving the mains electrical supply should be carried out appropriately for the installation and applicable regulations.
One compatible sensor controls every Elara light connected to the same lighting zone. Choose manual touch dimming, automatic occupancy control or automatic cabinet door lighting: all designed to connect into the 24V driver system.
Best for everyday kitchen lighting
Tap to switch the entire zone on or off, then touch & hold to adjust the brightness to suit the room.
The sensor remembers your previously selected brightness level, so the lights return to your preferred setting when switched back on.
Best for automatic occupancy lighting
Walk into the detection area and the whole lighting zone comes on automatically.
The lights remain on while movement or occupancy continues to be detected, then switch off around 30 seconds after movement stops.
Best for single door cupboards
Open the cabinet door and the lighting zone switches on automatically. Close it and the lights switch off again.
Designed for one cabinet door, using a short range sensor so the lighting responds as the door moves away from or returns to the sensing position.
Best for double door cupboards
Either of two independently opening doors can operate the same cabinet lighting zone.
Ideal where either door needs to bring the lights on, while keeping both doors tied to one simple control point at the driver.
Every sensor includes a surface mount adapter, so you can choose the installation style that best suits the cabinet or fitted furniture.
12mm cut-out

A standard on/off wall switch can control the driver’s mains supply. The drivers supplied with this system do not support dimming from a mains wall dimmer. For dimming, choose the Touch On/Off & Dimmer in the Project Builder. Alternatively, the driver can be connected to a permanent mains supply and the lighting controlled by a compatible PIR or door sensor.
Choose the Elara finish, white light, layout and control preference. The Builder matches the compatible 24V system and updates the complete project price as you go.
Start with the worktop or cabinet area you want to illuminate. The Project Builder suggests a practical quantity; you then refine the positions and cable routes before anything is permanently fixed.
Measure the area you actually want to light rather than automatically fitting one light per cabinet door. The Builder uses that length to suggest a starting quantity.
Think about the area of worktop you want to illuminate, not just the cabinet doors. A position around 30–50mm back from the front edge is a useful starting point for task lighting, but test the real effect before permanent fixing.
Elara CCT lights have a 2m fitted cable; fixed-white versions have a 1.5m fitted cable. Decide where the driver will remain accessible, how the cable will be concealed and whether any 2m or 5m extensions are needed.
Use the 3M backing to help hold the fitting in the proposed position while you check the look and light spread. Confirm the position before drilling cable holes and securing the fitting with its four screw points.
Elara is a surface mounted square cabinet light with a removable magnetic bezel. The 3M adhesive backing helps hold the fitting in position while it is secured with four screws, one at each corner, then the magnetic bezel snaps neatly back into place.
Hold the light beneath the cabinet and check the worktop illumination and how visible the square fitting is from normal standing positions.
Lift off the removable bezel to expose the fixing points. On CCT versions, the 3000K / 4000K / 6000K selector is also visible here and remains accessible after installation.
Plan the cable route, then use the 3M adhesive backing to keep the fitting aligned while you complete the mechanical fixing. The adhesive is a positioning aid before screwing.
Fix the light to the underside of the cabinet with four screws, one through each corner fixing point, then connect and test the matched 24V system.
Once the fitting is secure and tested, snap the magnetic bezel back into place for the clean finished square appearance.
Yes. Remove the magnetic bezel to reach the selector, choose 3000K, 4000K or 6000K, then refit the bezel. You do not need to uninstall the fitting.
The key dimensions, outputs and installation details needed to specify Elara confidently, including the slim 8.5mm square profile, magnetic bezel and different cable lengths for CCT and fixed-white versions.
Both finishes are available across every white light option. CCT uses 3W with a 2m cable; the fixed-white versions use 3.5W with a 1.5m cable.
Driver: supplied as part of the complete lighting setup selected through the Project Builder, rather than included in the single light starting price.
Elara is surface mounted, so no large recessed light cut-out is required. Plan the cable route, keep the driver accessible and test the light position before using the four screw fixing points.
Five years of cover from purchase.
We do not quote an estimated LED lifetime in hours because operating life can vary with installation and operating conditions.
Elara is the slim square surface mounted option in the Loops range. Compare cabinet lights by shape, mounting method, profile and finish, or browse all LED under cabinet lighting if you are still deciding.
Only finishes actually available for each range are shown. The text beneath the swatches updates to show which white-light options are offered in that finish. For the full range overview, compare all eight 24V under cabinet lighting styles.
Flush, discreet round light for a more integrated cabinet finish.
Classic surface-mounted round light with the broadest choice of white-light options.

Clean contemporary square design for a sharper, more architectural aesthetic.
Compact linear under-cabinet fitting with a crisp contemporary profile.
Longer linear fitting with selectable white light in a very slim profile.
Long linear fitting for projects where the preferred fixed white is already known.
Quick answers to the square design, slim profile, white light and 24V compatibility questions most likely to matter before you build an Elara cabinet lighting project.
Shape, profile, finish and white light choices.
Elara uses a clean 100 × 100mm square face with an 8.5mm surface mounted profile. It gives the kitchen a sharper geometric detail than a round fitting while remaining slim enough to keep discreet beneath the cabinet.
Square cabinet downlight is a common UK search term for this type of fitting, but Elara is technically a surface mounted square cabinet light rather than a recessed downlight. It sits beneath the cabinet without needing a large recessed cut-out.
Elara measures 100 × 100 × 8.5mm. The 8.5mm height makes it easy to conceal beneath many wall cupboards while the square face still looks clean and deliberate when visible.
No. Elara is surface mounted. Plan only the fitted cable route and any small concealed opening required for the cable; the light itself does not need a large recessed cut-out.
Yes. The CCT selector sits beneath the removable magnetic bezel. Remove the bezel, choose 3000K, 4000K or 6000K, then refit it. You do not need to uninstall the light.
CCT versions produce 250–260lm at 3W. Fixed Warm White is 290lm, Natural White is 295lm and Cool White is 300lm, with the fixed-white versions using 3.5W.
Elara CCT versions have a 2m fitted cable. Warm, Natural and Cool fixed-white versions have a 1.5m fitted cable. Extension leads are available in the Project Builder where the driver needs to be positioned further away.
Choose Elara for a slim square geometric look, Prism for a more visible triangular angled design, Vela when a very slim round surface fitting is the priority, or Eclipse for a recessed round finish where the cabinet can accept the required cut-out and depth.
How the complete 24V system is powered, controlled and handed over.
Yes. Elara is a 24V DC fitting. The LED driver, sometimes called a transformer, converts mains power to the 24V DC supply used by the lights. Each lighting zone uses one matched driver, selected automatically by the Project Builder.
The Project Builder supports up to 36 Elara lights in one zone and automatically matches the driver and required distribution. Create another zone when a group needs separate switching, dimming or sensor control.
A standard on/off wall switch can control the driver’s mains supply. The drivers supplied with this system do not support dimming from a mains wall dimmer. For dimming, choose the compatible Touch On/Off & Dimmer in the Project Builder. Alternatively, connect the driver to a permanent mains supply and control the lighting with a compatible PIR or door sensor.
Yes. Choose the supplied mains cable for fixed wiring, or add the optional 2m UK plug cable where a suitable socket is available. Mains electrical work should be completed by a suitably competent person.
Remove the magnetic bezel, use the 3M backing to hold the fitting in the chosen position, then secure it with four screws, one at each corner. Refit the magnetic bezel after the light has been connected and tested.
Each light includes the square 24V fitting with its removable magnetic bezel, 3M positioning adhesive and fitted connection cable. Cable length is 2m for CCT or 1.5m for fixed white. The matched driver is selected as part of the complete project and is not included in the single-light starting price.
Elara is covered by a 5-year guarantee from purchase.

What is a zone? One group of lights powered by one driver and controlled together. For example, worktop lights and island lights that need separate switching are two zones. Need different light styles on one shared control? Contact us before ordering.
Choose the finish that best suits your kitchen or furniture.
Choose the shade of white light that best suits your space.
Colour temperature changes the tone of white light — from warm and cosy to cool and crisp. It is different from brightness, so a cooler white does not automatically mean a brighter light.
Choose Warm, Natural or Cool White using the small switch on the back of each light. Unclip the light to change it later — ideal if you are unsure now or want the flexibility to change the mood.
A softer, warmer white. Works particularly well with cosy interiors, warm woods, brass finishes and relaxed evening lighting.
A balanced neutral white that keeps colours looking natural. A strong all-round fixed choice for kitchens and work surfaces.
A cooler, crisper white appearance. Suits clean contemporary spaces and customers who prefer a fresher-looking white light.
Choose how many lights you want in this zone. We'll match the correct driver automatically.
Measure the worktop you want to illuminate, then use the guide below.

Measure the worktop length you actually want to light and note any gaps or corners.
Start at 250–300mm centres and keep the row of lights consistently positioned towards the front of the cabinet. Move them closer together for a stronger, more continuous task-light effect.
Temporarily position the lights and switch them on. Worktop finish and corners can affect the final appearance.
You choose the lights. We'll automatically match the smallest suitable compatible driver on the next step.
A driver is the required 24V power supply for your lights. We'll automatically add the smallest compatible driver to this zone, so you don't need to calculate or choose one yourself.
Why is a distribution block included? A 6-way block uses one driver light port and provides six light connections, adding five extra usable connections. We add only the minimum number needed.
What is a distribution block? It is only needed when the zone has more lights than the driver has light ports. This driver already has enough connections.
Now choose how that driver will receive mains power.
Choose how this zone should switch on, off or dim. One control operates every light in the zone.
Check your setup below before saving this zone.
