Loops Coinect heavy duty interlocking PVC floor tiles are a tough, comfortable and great-looking way to upgrade almost any hard surface in minutes. Each tile has a moulded cellular structure for exceptional durability, anti-fatigue comfort and shock/noise absorption, plus a modern coin-style, non-slip finish that’s easy to keep clean. Ideal for protecting tired concrete, helping reduce dust and creating a smart, hard-wearing surface indoors or outdoors.

Sizes & coverage
Tile size: 470mm x 470mm
Thickness: 12mm up to 50% thicker than other competitors
Coverage (this pack): 15 tiles = 3.3135m² (so 1 tile covers 0.2209m²)
(For reference: 4 tiles = 0.8836m²)

How to calculate the exact number of tiles needed?

Measure the width and length of your space in metres, divide each by 0.47 and round up to a whole number. Multiply those two rounded figures to get the tile quantity.
Example:
Room width: 1.1m → 1.1 / 0.47 = 2.34 → round up to 3
Room length: 2.6m → 2.6 / 0.47 = 5.53 → round up to 6
Total tiles: 3 × 6 = 18 tiles

If you’re not confident calculating tiles, work out the area (width × length), add 10% for wastage, then tell us the m² you need and we’ll recommend the best kit size.

Please note: because of tile orientation (male/female edges), offcuts from one side can rarely be reused unless on the opposite side, so a small amount of wastage is normal.

Installation (fast DIY, puzzle-join)

  1. Prepare the base: Install over a hard, solid, level subfloor (concrete, screed, etc.). Sweep and remove debris.
  2. Acclimatise tiles: Leave tiles in the installation space for 24 hours before fitting. Best installed between 10°C and 30°C. Leave an expansion gap (5–10mm) around fixed edges/walls.
  3. Lay and lock: Start from a straight reference line (centre line or wall), align the puzzle edges and tap together firmly. Tiles can be laid straight (parallel) or in a “brick” pattern. Use the arrow tip on one corner to keep every tile in the same orientation.
  4. Cutting: For a few simple trims, score with a sharp utility knife; for lots of cuts use an electric jigsaw or disc cutter with a wood blade.
  5. Loose lay or glue: Tiles can be loose laid in most situations. Adhesive is recommended where heavy pallet trucks/forklifts operate, tight turning circles are common, or where tiles are in direct sunlight (e.g., shop fronts/south-facing loading bays).

Tools typically needed
Non-marking rubber mallet (or engineering hammer)
Spirit level or chalk line
Sharp utility knife (small jobs)
Electric jigsaw or disc cutter with a wood blade (larger jobs)

Notes for best results
Rubber tyres can stain light-coloured tiles over time; black is the best choice for vehicle areas. For outdoor use, PVC has good natural outdoor properties; black tiles are made from recycled material, so UV stability can vary compared with UV-stabilised coloured compounds.

If you’d like help choosing the right packs/kits and accessories, tell us your requirements (area size, intended use and whether you need edges/corners) and we’ll recommend the best option for you.
