Category 5E 25 Pair UTP Low Smoke Zero Halogen Cable – Pure Copper Solid Core
Uses – This 25 Pair Multi-Core cable is made up of 6 x 4 Pair CAT5e & 1 x 1 Pair CAT5e Conductors. Multi-core cables are ideal for backbone applications or installations that require an increased bandwidth. This CAT5e cable offers a total of 25 pairs, making it the equivalent of 6 individual CAT5e cables. This allows for a much easier installation over running multiple cables over a distance, you can instead just have a single cable running from point A to B.
This premium cable is commonly used for networking, AV installations & POE applications. It can be cut to length and fitted with 8P8C FTP connectors (also called RJ45 FTP), the standard PC networking connector. Depending on the type of connector you’re using, you may need a crimping tool.
Made From - Pure copper conductors, this cable has been tested and is certified to CAT5e specification so is fine for use over longer distances.
Colour - Purple
Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) - Low smoke zero halogen cable is made of thermoplastic that emits a limited amount of smoke and no halogen when exposed to high heat sources such as fire. In a fire, a halogen-containing plastic material releases hydrogen chloride, a poisonous gas that forms hydrochloric acid when it comes in contact with water. Commonly used in buildings for safety in the event of a fire.
Ease of use - To make measuring easy the cable is marked at 1 metre intervals.
Available in the following lengths – 25m, 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 500m & 1000m*

Wiring – Depending on the application in which you hope to use it, the cable can be wired in both the ‘straight through’ or ‘cross-over’ configurations.
'Cross over' cables are usually used for connecting 2 computers directly to one another, without the use of a Hub or Router. They use 568-A wiring at one end, and 568-B at the other.
'Straight through' cables can be used for connecting a PC or games console to a Hub/Router, or, in conjunction with AV extender devices, for audio and video distribution throughout a home or commercial project. To create a 'straight through' cable, it should be wired using the same wiring variant at both ends. Either ‘568-A to 568-A’ or ‘568-B to 568-B’
