LOOPS® DVI-D Cable
3 Metre DVI-D To DVI-D Male Video Cable
Can be used with? - This cable works with all digital devices that have DVI-I or DVI-D dual link outputs and inputs. This information can usually be found in the manual that comes with your equipment. Examples of equipment that use this lead are; LCD monitors used with computers. Some HDTVs, Graphics cards and projectors.
Cable Specification
1. The conducting cores are made from oxygen free pure copper conductors which further enhance signal quality. High density triple shield consisting of gas injected dielectric insulation around the conducting cores, a 100% aluminum foil and 95% copper braid. The dielectric and the copper braid are supple, yet maintain integrity even after bending and flexing.
2. The solid metal, 24k gold plated, corrosion resistant, DVI connectors are used with this cable. Their unique heavyweight outer shell design makes for a snug fit into any DVI socket.
This cable is Dual Link (sometimes referred to as DVI-DL), not Single Link – Dual link transfers data at speeds of up to 9.96gbit/s, with a massive 24 Bits per pixel, which is more than ample for any LCD monitor on the market at the moment. The DVI connector is dual link because there are 24 pins present. On single link transfer there are 6 fewer pins therefore the transfer rate is reduced to half the dual link rate. Pixels make up all displays. The number of pixels able to be transferred in dual link mode is double that of single link mode thus making our dual link leads second to none.
DVI lead supports following resolutions – The lead works with all specifications of monitor, even those greater than 1080p! Some people like reassurance so please see the list below:
Example display modes (dual link):
- QXGA (2048 × 1536) @ 75 Hz with GTF blanking (2×170 MHz)
- HDTV (1920 × 1080) @ 85 Hz with GTF blanking (2×126 MHz)
- WQXGA (2560 × 1600) @ 60 Hz with GTF blanking (2x174 MHz) (30" Apple, Dell, HP, Quinux, and Samsung LCDs)
- WQUXGA (3840 × 2400) @ 33 Hz with GTF blanking (2x159 MHz)
Function - These cables were designed to transfer high-bandwidth uncompressed digital video. Please remember that DVI cables don’t transfer audio signals. If you want sound, you will require an audio cable. If you are unsure which cable you require, please ask!
