600W Outdoor Rated AUTO Occupancy Motion Sensor Lighting Switch
PACK OF 2 Sensors – Can be linked to together to control 1 set of lights
Please note – 3 Terminals on back - Load in, Load out & Neutral (Neutral must always be connected).
Overview – This occupancy switch is ideal for areas where lights and/or a fan are only required when the area is occupied. It works by detecting and monitoring body heat in an area, when the area becomes vacant, the switch will go off after a chosen & adjustable duration (10 seconds - 15 minutes). Perfect for use in toilets, warehouses and corridors to reduce the amount of electricity used and save money on energy bills. It is suitable for use with LED lights, fluorescent lights, incandescent lamps, energy saving lamps or fans.
This light switch can be used as a replacement or new switch with a 250V rated consumer unit (fuse box) as found in most UK houses. It can be mounted to a wall or ceiling via the supplied fixing screws and thanks to it’s IP44 Rating, it be install outdoors or in bathrooms.
If required, more than one of these PIR switches can be linked in parallel to make a circuit live, this could be useful at the top and bottom of a stair case… Or in a larger space when all lights in that space need to be turned on at the same time, no matter where motion is detected in that space.
Thanks to the clever design of this unit, you can twist off the front cap and gain easy access to the lux and timer controls. A lot of occupancy sensors on the market would require you to un-install the unit completely, as access to these controls may be on the rear or inside the switch.
OCCPANCY – With traditional PIR’s, once the timer has started, that’s it, you would then have to wave your hand or move when the light goes off to reset the light which can be frustrating. Our occupancy sensors will constantly reset their timer providing someone is within the sensors range. This means that any connected lights will only turn off when the switch hasn’t detected movement for your selected period of time.
Lux – Our occupancy sensors have a lux setting which will only allow your lights to be turned on when a light level falls below are certain point & when motion is detected. For example, your garden lights won’t come on during the day when you walk past them if you set the correct lux level.
Timer – When the switch is triggered, it will keep your lights on for a certain period of time. This switch has the following timer settings: 10 Seconds, 30 Seconds, 90 Seconds, 3 Minutes, 7 Minutes or 15 minutes. When motion is detected by the sensor, the timer will reset.
