Overview - Capable of holding a microphone anywhere between 6in (15cm) and 2.5ft (75cm), this mini stand is designed for use in live or recording situations, where a full size microphone stand would be too tall, and would be cumbersome and unstable with its microphone held at a low height. Intended as a compact solution for mic’ing up Kick drums, guitar combo amps, or any acoustic instruments played by seated musicians.

Setup - To set up the stand, start from the ground and work your way up, unfolding and locking each section in turn, when it comes to the adjustable sections, loosen the rotary screw, position the boom where it’s needed, then tighten the nut to lock it. A converter is also included for affixing a microphone clip with a standard 3/8th or 5/8th thread, as well as 2 cable clips for securing the cable, visible in the product image above.

Portable - The stand collapses to a little over 55cm (2ft approx) long. Combined with its light weight, this makes it ideal for bands, as it will stow easily in the smallest hatchback.

Construction - This lightweight, robust microphone stand is constructed from hardwearing, black powder coated alloy, with rubber coated feet to help insulate from noise and vibration, which is essential for a really clean sound.

Adjustable - Two ‘T-style’ locking nuts with hard wearing resin knobs, 1 for locking the base, and one for the angle of the boom. A rotary screw secures the upper sliding portion of the boom.

2 x 3/8th locking, star-shaped washers secure the stand at the two points where it disassembles, at the boom and microphone clip. On both these threaded sections, a locking washer sits at the base of the thread. Once you’ve screwed on the boom section or microphone clip, rotate the star shaped washer in the opposite direction until it comes into contact with the part you’ve just screwed on. This prevents the part working itself loose when subjected to vibration or repositioning.

Note - No Microphone clip is supplied with this stand, a clip will generally be included with your Microphone. If not, one can be found in our shop.
