This adapter is perfect for plugging into a 3.5mm Jack (small headphone socket) to create a 6.35mm / 1/4" jack (large headphone socket). This adapter is commonly used to combine a stereo output from a 3.5mm Jack into a mono 6.35mm connection. It can also be used the other way around. Perfect for sending a microphone into a stereo system.

Please note, both the left and the right speaker would play the same sound meaning it is not a true stereo signal but without an adapter like this you would only have sound playing out of 1 speaker.

The example above is just one way that this adapter could be used but it could have many applications… A guitar to headphones etc…​
