Transform a dusty concrete garage floor in an afternoon with the Loops Coinect Single Garage Floor Kit — a heavy duty interlocking PVC flooring system designed for real garage use. Coinect tiles combine a tough cellular construction (shock absorption, noise reduction and anti-fatigue comfort) with a smart coin-pattern non-slip surface that’s easy to wipe clean. The result is a hard-wearing floor that looks great, protects your existing base and stands up to everyday garage life, including 3.35t per tyre drive-over confidence.

What’s included (Single Garage Kit – 16m²)
72x Coinect interlocking floor tiles
8x ramped female edge trims (designed to finish the garage door side for a smoother transition and reduced trip hazard)

Sizes & coverage
Tile size: 470mm x 470mm
Thickness: 12mm – up to 50% thicker than other competitors
Kit coverage: up to approx. 16m² (includes allowance for cutting/waste)
Each tile covers: 0.2209m²
This kit is designed to suit a standard single garage (typically around 15.5-16m², depending on layout).

How to calculate the exact number of tiles needed?

Measure the width and length of your space in metres, divide each by 0.47 and round up to a whole number. Multiply those two rounded figures to get the tile quantity.
Example:
Room width: 1.1m → 1.1 / 0.47 = 2.34 → round up to 3
Room length: 2.6m → 2.6 / 0.47 = 5.53 → round up to 6
Total tiles: 3 × 6 = 18 tiles

If you’re not confident calculating tiles, work out the area (width × length), add 10% for wastage, then tell us the m² you need and we’ll recommend the best kit size.

Please note: because of tile orientation (male/female edges), offcuts from one side can rarely be reused unless on the opposite side, so a small amount of wastage is normal.

Ideal for
Single garages, home workshops and detailing bays, self-storage spaces, sheds and garden rooms, utility areas, home gyms, and temporary floor protection for events or projects.

Installation (fast DIY, click-together)

  1. Prepare the base: Fit over a hard, solid, level subfloor (concrete/screed). Sweep clean.
  2. Acclimatise: Leave tiles in the space for 24 hours. Install between 10°C and 30°C. Leave a 5–10mm expansion gap at fixed edges/walls.
  3. Lay & lock: Align the puzzle edges and tap together. Lay straight or brick pattern. Keep the arrow marker pointing the same direction on every tile for consistent alignment.
  4. Cutting: Score with a sharp utility knife for small trims; for larger cuts use a jigsaw or disc cutter with a wood blade.
  5. Loose lay or glue: Loose lay suits most garages; adhesive is recommended for heavy pallet trucks/forklifts, tight turning circles or areas in direct sunlight.
  6. Fit trims: Install the female ramped trims along the garage door side for a clean finish and easier wheeling in/out. Cut trims as required using the same method as the tiles.

Tools typically needed
Non-marking rubber mallet, straight edge/chalk line, sharp utility knife, jigsaw or disc cutter (for larger cuts).

Notes for best results
Rubber tyres can stain light-coloured tiles over time; black is the best choice for vehicle areas. Many installers start from a centre line and work outwards for a balanced finish.
For outdoor use, PVC has good natural outdoor properties; recycled black PVC may show different UV stability compared with UV-stabilised coloured compounds.

If you’d like help choosing the right kit size, tell us your requirements (garage size/door width, intended use and whether you need extra trims) and we’ll recommend the best option. We also sell kits to cover other spaces, so please check the range.
