What is the use of an amplifier? An amplifier is used to power passive speakers by increasing the voltage, current, or power of a signal and amplifying it via the speaker cable to the speakers. Here at LoopsDirect we sell three different types of amplifiers: Stereo Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers & 100V Amplifiers. A stereo amplifier is typically what you will use in a home environment for a pair of Hi-Fi speakers or a surround sound system. A power amplifier is like a stereo amplifier, but provides more power for larger speakers, for uses such as nightclubs, pubs & bars. A 100V amplifier is usually only seen in commercial installations that require a larger number of speakers to be installed over a long distance, such as throughout a supermarket or a school.

We stock amplifiers that cover a range of different features, such as Bluetooth & Wi-Fi wireless connectivity or multizone capabilities for larger installations. We also have amplifiers available in a range of sizes.
