Continuity Test & Toner
Overview
Our cable mapper is designed to find and identify the location of multiple coaxial cables which is particularly useful when a bundle of cables is run to a location. This product is commonly used with aerial and CCTV networks.
8 individual 'F connector remote terminators' are supplied, which are numbered and colour coded. The remote terminators should be placed on the ends of the cables you wish to locate and the hand held device should be connected to the other end of the cable.
When the green 'test' button is pushed on the hand-held device, the LED will light up green (1-8) showing which remote terminator is connected to the other end of the cable. This is perfect for 'mapping' a coaxial installation. A green LED also signifies there is continuity, if the 'open' or 'short' red LED lights come on, it shows there is a problem with the cable.
Our device also features a 'toner' feature, this is where a tone is fed down a coaxial cable which can be picked up with a remote 'tone receiver' to track and trace where a cable is going. Search for 'toner' in our shop to find a suitable product.
