F-Connector, BNC & RCA Compression Crimp Tool
Used for - This is an essential tool for anyone needing to crimp or fit F-Type, BNC or RCA compression connectors to RG59 or RG6 coaxial cable. This compression crimp tool is supplied with 3 interchangeable adapters that allow to crimp the 3 different types of connectors mentioned above.
Useful Features – Our high quality, professional crimp tool is extremely easy to use, a comfortable hand grip has also been installed to avoid causing any discomfort after extended use. There is a handy locking mechanism that keeps everything compact and safe when the crimpers are in your toolbox. The crimp tool is also waterproof allowing it to be used in a number of different environments without subjugating it to stress or damage. The interchangeable adapter can be stored within the tool when they are not use so you won’t lose them.
Directions – The following steps can be followed for all connection types (F-Type, BNC & RCA):
You will need to strip the PVC outer layer without damaging the core inside, you can do this with one of our cable strippers but if you are confident with a pair of snips/pliers, you can strip the outer layer away with either of those. Cut all of the way through the cable ensuring that the only part un-cut is the central copper conductor.
The following instructions should only be followed for F-Type Connectors (instructions for other connectors found below)
You can now insert a compression connector over the top of the prepared cable. There is a rubber/plastic “O” ring inside of the connector that will go around the outer PVC layer of your cable. A metal ring inside of the connector will go under this outer layer of PVC making contact with the braid (shield) beneath. You should also ensure that you have stripped enough of the cable for the copper conductor to poke out of the top of the connector, this can be trimmed at a later stage if it is too long but around 10mm will be sufficient.
The following instructions should only be followed for BNC & RCA Connectors (instructions for other connectors found below)
You can now insert a BNC or RCA connector onto the prepared cable (be sure to put the relevant adapter into the tool). Be careful to ensure that the internal plastic ring of the connector goes under the outer PVC layer of your cable. Once this is pushed in, insert the cable and connector into the tool and close the handle all of the way (DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY WITH BNC CONNECTORS), you have now successfully compression crimped onto your cable.
Compression Distances:
F-Connector Distance – 20.3 +/- 0.20mm
BNC Distance – 33.9 +/- 0.20mm
RCA Distance – 31.6 +/- 0.20mm
