1 Input to 8 Output Stereo Speaker Splitter Box
How it works - By connecting an amplifier to the splitter box you can distribute the sound to as many as 8 sets of stereo speakers. You can also switch individual sets of stereo speakers on and off.
General - This box has a metal outer case, feet on the bottom and because the build quality is excellent, it is robust and durable. The dimensions are 432mm x 125mm x 55mm.
Maximum power input - This box can be used with amplifiers outputting up to 200 watts in total (100W per channel). No other power source is required. For peace of mind, the splitter also has a built-in overload protection.
Resistors – Internal 100ohm resistors ensure the amplifier always sees a load, even with all the switches turned off. However, it is good practice to ensure that at least one pair of stereo speakers are switched on before the amplifier is turned on. A progressive switched resistor network ensures that the resistance generated is always equal to that of the speakers, providing that every speaker being used is of the same resistance. For example, speakers that are made by different manufactures may be different resistances and they should not be used together with this device. Speakers between 4-16 ohms can be used.

What you should know – It is normal to notice a volume drop per speaker when more than one pair of speakers is switched on at the same time.
Speaker cable and terminals – As always, we recommend using quality speakers to ensure optimum performance. If you require speaker cable, please look through our shop. The terminals on this splitter are spring clip and can accept cables that are a 14-22 gauge (AWG).
Ideal for home use, office use, business use, such as bars and clubs where an independent sound control is required for different rooms or zones.
